A long time ago you answered my question of were there any throw away characters that exploded in popularity that surprised you (Wolverine). My question now is the opposite: Are there any characters that were created that you thought would be "the next big thing" and people didn't wind up taking to as much as you expected?
Agreed. I read Spawn from the beginning and early on it was high quality comics. The story started to meander after a while, as serial comics do, and then I finally got tired of McFarlane being a ginormous dick to everyone so I stopped reading it. I also followed Sam and Twitch for a while, which was also pretty good, though I never expected it to be the next big thing.
